Photovoltaic monitoring
Solarneo has developed its own monitoring software that enables it to manage follow-up of its production separate from the proprietary solutions supplied by the inverter manufacturers. This universal solution has the advantage of being multi-brand, and enables us to diversify our sources of supply.
Solarneo’s greenhouses are constantly being improved, notably as a result of full-size experimentation at the pilot sites in Cannes and Cahors.
The Research & Development team carries out a constant technology watch to detect any innovations that could be incorporated into Solarneo’s products – metal structures and assemblies, roofing systems, waterproofing systems, photovoltaic panels, greenhouse fittings, security systems, etc.
The tunnel greenhouses in Cahors are monitored constantly – a battery of sensors coupled to analysis tools enables us to carry out a number of series of detailed agronomic and photovoltaic measurements. The Research & Development team mobilises a committee of multi-disciplinary experts to analyse the results of these studies. The feedback received from growers using the three greenhouses currently in service is also analysed closely.
All this data is analysed by the committee of experts to learn from it and to come up with proposals for improvements. These solutions are tested using prototypes and, if they are satisfactory, they are assessed on a larger scale, notably at the pilot site in Cahors. All the greenhouse’s functions are the subject of research and improvement. For example, Solarneo’s Research & Development team has developed and tested various systems for incorporating photovoltaic panels into constructions eligible for CSTB for which Solarneo has exclusivity. The plastic greenhouse has also gone through a number of iterations to reach a new version that offers even better performance. The Version 3 of the plastic greenhouse currently takes into account everything that has been learnt previously. The greenhouse features a specific design that is more luminous and more effective in terms of climatology, and hence offers better agronomic performance.
